About the Ideabook

Students observe and record forest soil types.The purpose of the Earth System Science Ideabook is to provide support for educators in making earth science courses and careers accessible to all students. The Ideabook is comprised of three sections:

  • Access Earth students carry supplies to a salt marsh field site.A searchable collection of earth system science classroom activities that use universal design principles.
  • A reference on universal design and teaching strategies that support students with disabilities in science.
  • A resource list of significant publications and web links on universal design and science education for students with disabilities
  • .Students and teachers use a vibracore to sample salt marsh sediment.
