Thinking Matters:

A Student Research, Scholarship, and Creativity Symposium

Past Conferences

USM Poster Day is an annual exhibition of research and creative works attended by members of the USM community and open to the public. Poster Day was held during spring 2002 and 2003. Poster displays showcase the many exciting projects undertaken by USM students and student-faculty teams outside the traditional classroom setting. Presentations highlight faculty/student research, community service projects, innovative teaching, original group projects undertaken as part of a course, and artistic displays. Visual displays provide a summary of project results, and presenters are available to discuss their work during an interactive afternoon session.

The 2004 Thinking Matters student conference builds on the success of Poster Day, transforming the event into a formal conference that includes oral sessions, a keynote address, and roundtable discussion.
